Beej has a pretty swing.
Really pretty swing for a righty. If you just watched him take BP without knowing anything about him you'd think he was a .300 hitter. I doubt he ever has a season like that again, but it would be nice if he could hit .270ish this year.

Anybody else notice the old guy diving over kids, spilling beer to try to get that home run?

man Jup has such a high ceiling, I really feel like we have all the pieces for 3 years, hopefully we can keep the Uptons for longer than that but I doubt it

Doubt we will be able to keep Heyward and Justin Upton. But we've got a long way to go until we have to answer that question.

Yep. Will likely have to choose between J Hey and J Up.

I think Jup could be a more complete player than Hey but thats just me. I think Heyward could be HR machine but i think his Avg. would suffer.

Kind of difficult to compare them. Heyward is 2 years younger, which may not seem like a lot, but most players enter their prime around 25 or 26.
I think Heyward is a better defender/baserunner and Upton is a better hitter. It's going to be a difficult decision. Sucks that we can't just keep them both, but that just isn't realistic given our TV contract.

Braves will make it a priority to lock Jason up to a long term deal. One of the keys to keeping him and Freeman will be letting Mac go after this season.

Ken Rosenthal said on MLB Network that he expects Evan Gattis to make the Braves opening day roster.

Replay is blacked out where I live.. I don't know why a replay would be blacked out.

Does this mean McCann isn't going to be ready for opening day, or we are going to carry 3 catchers?

Minor was Tom Glavine-esque in the 1st inning

TV schedule in the first post lists all the blackouts this spring

McCann out until April 16th at minimum.

Blacked out where I am too, all I wanted to see was BJs homer though, it was linked last page

Oh...well in that case it didn't really take a rocket scientist to figure out that Gattis was going to make the opening day roster.
The real question will be what happens when McCann comes back.
