Jim Johnson has made 15 straight scoreless appearances and you don't think he has any value?
Unless they can get a catcher or a controllable big league reliever it seems very doubtful they will try to do anything to make this team better.
All these trades will be to continue to build the system.

I think that was the plan at the beginning of the year, but right now, we're only what 4 games out of the division and 3-5 in the WC. Our biggest problem has been the bullpen, and now we're getting some help back there. I think they'll stand pat for a while before trading anyone. and I highly doubt they move Julio or Jose even if they do go into sell mode.

We are better than I thought we would be for sure.
We're still 5 games behind last year's pace though. And we won 79 last year.
I think we could be good enough for a WC spot next year and very, very good the year after that.
Selling our vets and finishing with a top 10 pick (which would allow us to sign a FA without giving up our pick) likely helps us out the most going in to next year. If acknowledging that somehow makes me a bad fan in the eyes of people like crim, so be it.

Right now we have a 3.9% chance of making the playoffs. Don't think those odds are enough to divert us from our plan.

I didn't get to watch the game. Did Julio look as good as his numbers? I have a hard time believing he went 7 and gave up no runs on the road AND withouth Beth.
