Kelly Johnson

Most of those names would bring nothing of value.

Then why sell them? Makes no sense.

Maybin, Grilli, Jim Johnson, Uribe certainly bring value.
KJ, Pierzynski may bring org depth. CJ you're just looking to get out from under that contract.
Folty, Teheran and Peraza will be the names I'm watching closely. Bethancourt could be moved as well.

OK, so my post was the last one on the previous page so I will reiterate. What exactly are we looking at doing? Building the farm even more? Signing specific great players? I am sort of at a loss of what the end result is supposed to look like. Yall are experts on this, so I am demanding a correct answer.

Jim Johnson wouldn't bring much unless packaged with others.

I think right now they're just trying to collect as many assets as possible (specifically starting pitching). Anyone who does not look like a long term solution/option will be used to collect controllable assets.
When looking towards the end product you have
C: ????
1B: Freeman
MIF: 2 of Simmons, Peterson, Peraza, Albies
3B: ????
RF: Markakis (at least for first year or so)
CF: Mallex
LF: ????
SP: Miller, Wood, ????, ????, ????
BP: Such high turnover here you probably will fill most of these spots on season-by-season basis.
And then tons of assets at the minor league level you can use to fill all the holes/take some of these spots if you like them. Ideally your own guys can fill most of these spots and you have tons of money to fill just a few holes in FA. But there's still a lot of development that you can wait on before you decide for sure who's a solution at the big league level. Right now I'd say Albies/Peraza look like sure fire ML starters, not sure if there's anyone else there yet. Smith maybe? Even Albies may be pushing it since he's still pretty far down in the system.
You also want to always keep your minors stocked so when your home-grown guys get too expensive you can just plug cheap rookies in and not lose much. That was where we got in trouble with Wren.

Hasn't given up a run in what, a month? I think he could bring back a top 15 org guy from a contender.

Thank you sir. That is pretty much the type of breakdown i needed.

I don't care if Markakis ever hits a homerun if he continues those type of hits.
Posted on 7/8/15 at 3:30 pm to flyAU
Than he makes an awesome play in the field!

The only guys on that list that can bring value that will help this club are Maybin and Grilli.
The Brewers alone have at least 5 guys other teams would want before any of those guys listed.
