Would love to see Dufner pull this one out but his game is driving consistency. I think the guy who wins this will be long and make some putts...

Tiger my first choice and Dufner is my want

Wind may be a huge factor so look for one of the european guys to do well.

The train tracks basically run parallel to the coast, so I'd imagine they will be from Southwest to Northeast.

So for the most part a crosswind, dang this will really set up well for a guy like tiger or bubba who can both draw and fade the ball.
If that wind is rolling at 20 mph hitting either a draw or fade all day will be near impossible.

You have to keep the ball down in that wind anyone who plays a high fade I am already counting out, even someone as accurate as toms.

Apparently the wind is almost always in your face on the back 9

The back nine has a big change in direction, so I could imagine 12,13,14,15 being I your face with 16 being with the wind(par 3 though) 17 crosswind and 18 cross wind.

I'm just assuming it is a crosswind because of the location of the coastline, but Lithem sits on a peninsula of sorts so it could come from due North or South as well.

Not sure why people are picking Tiger win given his reasons for his bad rounds. Speeds of greens changing, which happens daily at The Open, and his lack of distance control with his short irons and wedges, which wind is expected from 10-30 all week. Smart pick is Westwood or Molinari.

Did Westwood learn how to putt?
With that wind no one is sticking them close, it is going to come down to who can make a some 20 footers. IMO. That isn't westwood.
I dont see a ton of full wedge shots on this course. And tigers ability to flight the ball is a huge help.
In my opinion gir winner will not win the open this year. Only thing I know is that John daly will win the party.

Woods has airmailed greens from 70-120 yards all year. Half to full shots.

Key to Westwood this week....

8th Scoring average
3rd Sand Saves (200+ bunkers)
2nd GIR
7th ball striking (drives + GIR)

He can have 31 putts per round and still win

No he can't. What do you think will win because I am thinking -8-10 and if the wind is silent one day I think they tear this course a new one.
He would have to average 15 gir and no one is going to do that this week.
