No clue if that ever came close to happening, but I know for a fact they school bought a shite ton of land and tore down buildings to allegedly meet the greenery/landscape requirements.

Seriously now, where the frick are you and Rummel getting that good good from? I need to try it.

My god I believe we have found the mule that brings it into Laredo.

But if it was me I would bring it through Presido and Eagle Pass, not as many Mean Green around.

hahahaaha. I completely forgot about this. This actually is no bullshite. My sister said this same exact stuff. For a brief period in like 2010/2011 Baylor thought it could implement changes so they could be an ivy league type school by 2020. Not in the ivy league but just like an ivy league school. I needed a good laugh

I do remember there being talk of some sort of southern Ivy league with Rice and Tulane. I don't know who else they would have gotten though.

A Southern Ivy League would be

Rice
Samford
Tulsa
Tulane
And who else?

It would not be Baylor, SMU, TCU, or Tech. Ivy Leaguers do not kill their teammates, pay their players, or allow people to skip classes.

Rummy,

If SMU wins the Iron Skillet this year can they hit that ugly arse frog to try to make him prettier after the game?

Then both teams can go to church together and sing Amazing Grace.

Just leave the strange and crazy Baptists out of the thing.

We should grab a drink after this game...and make fun of Baylor while we do it.

The closest thing to a Southern Ivy League might be something like:
Duke
Emory
Rice
SMU
Tulane
Vanderbilt
Wake

Established privates (non-religious) with higher level academics...

If Texas is such an a-hole, why doesn't the Big 12 just kick them out?

I don't know how heavy their affiliation is, but SMU literally has Methodist in the name of the school.

What would make it better would be if there was an ASU game on to see shenanigans.

If this ever happened on the same day: SMU beat TCU, while Baylor lost, and Arizona St had well a typical Arizona St game. I would do more drugs and drink more alcohol than Belushi and Whinehouse combined.

Nor do they allow rape of students or hookers. They have high morals.

Because what would the big 12 be if they kick them out?

Ahh. So they need Texas, I take it.
