Looking at the 28 team roster that was announced as the player pool a while back, these were the "cuts"

LaMarcus Aldridge
Carmelo Anthony
Tyson Chandler
Dwight Howard
Andre Iguodala
LeBron James
David Lee
Kawhi Leonard
Chris Paul
Russell Westbrook
Deron Williams

I think it's safe to say that the only actual cuts may have been Iggy, Lee, and Chandler, with Leonard having to turn down the spot because of his finals appearance, and LeBron, Paul, Melo, Howard, Williams, Westbrook, and Anthony not wanting to be considered until 2016.

Sounds like Aldridge flat out rejected the call up though and will not be considered in 2016.

Team's only weakness is perimeter defending. Thompson and George are the only ones I would say are actually good. Is Beal a good defender? That may get him the 8th back court/wing forward spot.

PG: Irving, Curry
SG: Harden, Thompson, Korver
SF: Durant, George
PF: Love, Griffin, Faried
C: Davis, Drummond

I'm taking Korver b/c he's been shooting near 50% from three, and the 3point line is closer and on a team of elite athletes he should be shooting wide open threes all day.

I'm taking Faried to be the enforcer and give the team an edge.

Doesn't really matter outside of Durant/George/Love/Griffin/AD/Curry. Those are the guys that will determine if we win it all or not.

I don't know if this has already been covered, but where are the invites for: Noah, DeAndre Jordan, and Iggy? Also, Rose and Lillard over Wall? mehhh.

Kyle Korver. lulz.

There is no way Drummond could be left off of this team. I believe he will be the greatest rebounder of this generation. He has a knack for getting the ball. He is a modern day Rodman, only not as mean. He is a 20 year old and had one of the best rebounding performances of anyone last year. I can't wait to watch this kid grow and improve. Bright future ahead. If Lebron wasn't in the league and I didn't live in New Orleans. Drummond would be my favorite player in the league. But The King and Davis are just too good.

My 12:

PG - Irving, Lillard, Curry

SG - Harden, DeRozan

SF - KD, Paul George, Chandler

PF - Love, Griffin

C - AD, Cousins

We have a lot of guys that can play multiple positions, especially in international play. Curry can play the 1 and 2, DeRozan can play the 2 and 3. KD can play 2-4. Parsons can play the 2 as well as the 3. Love can play the 3-4. AD can play 4-5.

Looks like Iggy didn't make the cut, along with Chandler and David Lee. Noah plays for France (one of the reasons we can't get Hibbert is because he played a meaningless game for Jamaica).

Jordan and Wall weren't invited for the initial 30 man roster.

Rose just needs to focus on being healthy for the regular season.

Jordan not soo much, but Iggy is an all-in-one package that plays good defense. We are lacking perimeter defense besides Paul George.

SG: Harden, Thompson, Korver

PF: Love, Griffin
C: Davis, Cousins

I'm not sure I would want Rose to go if I'm the Bulls, but he's the only point guard on this list that plays any defense. Thompson will be nice for shooting and defense. Korver will have so many open looks with four other great players on the court or will create more space for the ball handlers to work with. George will be big because he's by far the best perimeter defender on the team. I like Drummond, but don't feel like he could be on the court because of his poor free-throw shooting.

Seing Kyle Korver on this preliminary roster is like seeing Brad Davis on the US Soccer prelim World Cup roster.

I dont see the need for a 3pt specialist when you have guys like Curry, Durant, Love, Klay, Parsons Lillard, if they want him, Harden/Irving who are ok 3pt shooters as well. Paul George too

What you have to like about the PG position is that all three are capable of also playing off the ball. They can all score in a variety of ways.

I like Drummond because he can run the floor. Cousins is talented, but plays with far too much emotion. With or without him, this is the world's most talented roster.
