Targeting rule has got to go!

I am sick of seeing players get ejected because they tackled someone slightly wrong. It's utter BS and goes against everything football is about.

Officials have to use better judgement on those. Some are targeting and some aren't.

it is reviewed upstairs yo...meaning it must be pretty obvious thus the ejection. I am ok with it.

We talking about the USC defensive back? That looked like a great hit. I don't know how else he was supposed to do it. He used his arms to push the guy off as soon as he made contact. Obviously not intentional.

This. Ejections should be reserved for truly malicious stuff like punches.
And yep - I don't even like USC so you know I feel strongly about this since I'm defending them.

I'd change it. It doesn't need to go, but it needs to be adjusted.
Maybe they can't play for the remainder of the series/quarter.
It's worked iirc. I believe they had stats showing where there were less injuries or something because defender were tackling better last year.

I also love it that they penalized Sark.
Maybe the SEC officials will grow some balls and penalize Muschamp and Saban for their tirades directed at officials.

Right. Keeping the coaches from temper tantrums were they berate the officials would do that.
I know most of you don't care if these kids have brain damage later in life, but that is why the rule is there.
