If this comes true you are correct...... These guys make a shitload of money and it should not effect them, the fans in the stands I feel for, the fans at home bitching about game quality, GET OVER IT.....

How can you hold this info credible when most forecasts can't even get the weather for tomorrow correct?

Also this last storm we got didn't really take shape until two days before the storm and we wound up 11.5 inches

Rumors are floating around that it may be forced to Monday due to the weather

Rumors by idiots. Football is played in winter weather in the north on a fairly regular basis. They know how to deal with it.

I hope this happens so it makes GODell look like a total fool for choosing an open-air northern venue.

You look like a bigger fool thinking that a weather prediction 10 days out is going to be accurate.

I can't believe how poonhurt people are that the NFL is holding its championship game where it has had its championship game nine times.

There's nothing wrong with playing a football game in the cold. The Super Bowl is a football game.

Like others have said, this will not happen.

But I would poop my pants laughing if it did.

No kidding and 31 isn't even really that cold. There were playoff games this year played in SIGNIFICANTLY colder weather than that.

It's retarded to ever consider a location when there is a high chance of extreme weather conditions.

It's retarded to post the things you've posted on the topic.

Having the Super Bowl in New Jersey is less risky than having a franchise in New Orleans. Both are just fine.

Goodell said this morning that he's sitting outside for the game.

My team is in it and I don't care. Know why? Because I'm not going. I can't figure out why some people are so Hell bent on this being a total failure. Anything that allows them to blame Goodell, I suppose.

Will it suck if it's 15 degrees and the wind is blowing 20mph and the Broncos lose, sure. Will it suck more than it would if it was 70 and mild, no.

Before the superbowl the NFL title game was played at a home field in December where weather was a major factor. No one ever felt that the winners were somehow tainted by the winter weather.

Football is a sport meant to be played in all weather conditions unless it is truly dangerous like lightening.

To say that the Superbowl has to be played in either a dome or warm weather place is ludicrous and to say that the quality of the game demands that is pretty wussy.

A success opens up other cold-weather cities to consideration, inevitably meaning fewer Super Bowls in New Orleans. While I'd love to see the game in the Superdome regularly, it bums me out that we'll never see it there every four or so years again, but my butt doesn't hurt because of it. Some people are just being brats about it.

The Super Bowl shouldn't be in NOLA every four years. It shouldn't be in any city every four years.

There is so much anger from this board regarding the SB location this year. Do you really care that much?

I think a lot of people are really just hoping that somehow, someway Goodell is made to look really stupid and an outdoor Super Bowl in the Northeast looks like the best possibility of that happening.

Having said that...

1) The only people truly "upset" are the New York based media types that look at the Super Bowl as a one or two week long paid vacation.

2) The forecast looks relatively harmless, especially after the GB-SF game produced no casualties.

3) Even if the temp is forecast to be 5 degrees with pounding snow, this game is being played on schedule.
