It was being built when I left SMS to work at TU. I left on bitter terms with Rowe and we finally buried the hatchet last fall. He invited me to come see it.

Only thing that worries me is if he doesn't figure it out this year with the money he's making i would think it'd be difficult to get much back for him

Eh, some other team will have an underachieving player they need to dump with similar salary. Disappointing to hear his shoulder still bothers him.

3 guys picked off in 1 inning today

Matheny is a fricking clown. His team is so horrendous fundamentally.

Last year under Matheny, yet again, their base running was terrible, and like the Moron he is, MM claimed they do what they do and will continue to make teams throw them out.

Seriously, some one make this end, soon.

There is just no speed on this team. Base running really wasn't any better with LaRussa.

I agree, but at least you had guys who could get the extra base on 50/50 chances.

All these guys do under MM is get thrown out. Some aren't even close.

It's not all on Matheny though. Always drove me nuts when slow arse Molina or Holliday would stupidly try to go from 2B to 3B on a weak ground ball to pitcher. I was tempted to smash my TV when Holliday was picked of 3B in Game 6 of 2011 World Series. Or Wong off 1B in Game 4 of 2013 World Series. Sad thing is, they have Brock, Smith, McGee, and other instructors down there right now that knew how to run the bases.

Matt Carpenter is gonna sit out the WBC due to his back stiffness

Cmart still playing in it on a team that is very likely to go to the finals or close to there

I'm happy that Carp is sitting it out and I can't imagine that any team truly wants their guys playing in the WBC, I certainly would rather none of our guys play

the WBC during spring training is asinine

it should involve players not in playoffs, guys still in form. during spring training, guys arms are still getting loose.

I never liked the event. I wish it was eliminated. I won't watch it. But for these other countries it means everything.

You don't get that the WBC ain't for the ISA

It's stupid that USA Baseball doesn't take it serious.

I'd rather him play in WBC as it's better comp and more at bats

As for guys arms loose wrong they've been throwing all year and a month in

I can appreciate those things but it's still more wear and tear on an arm no matter how you paint it

I'd rather them use those pitches for us myself

I recognize it's a tough issue

Wacha had a nice start today. This team needs 2015 Wacha and Lynn back. Today's game ended in a fricking tie.
