- Had a baby

-other wr is T. Smith, maybe both didn't want to have "Smith" on their jersey.

Still doesnt make sense. Is anyone going to mistake his infant son for him while he's running around on a football field?

Is anyone going to confuse RG3's father or grandfather for him while he's running around on the football field?

Umm it makes sense because his name changed from Steve Smith to Steve Smith Sr.

Also he would need S Smith anyway due to Torrey Smith.

I'm just happy that since he is no longer a panther, I can openly root for him.

They don't do this anymore. Both would just have "Smith."

His name doesnt make sense either, in the sense that it is used on his football jersey. Signing checks or on his Social Security Card sure, but why does the general public need to acknowledge that he is a 3rd generation Griffin?

Well, not to your point, but naming your child after yourself is one of the most egotistical things one can do.
