Don't see many coaches winning such an award missing half of the season

@Sportscenter: In just his 2nd season as head coach, Steve Kerr led Warriors to an NBA record by going 73-9 in the regular season.

Popovich firing the head coach to name himself head coach, just in time to draft Duncan

Bob Hill, I thought got a raw deal, like many others did. Then people were so irritated that Pop named himself HC.

Glad we were wrong.

How can you argue? Even lying on his back, Kerr was literally better than all the other head coaches.

It's lame, but he gets credit since interim isn't official.

Somehow magic Johnson got

1. To play in NBA all star game with AIDS while having retired the year earlier

2. Got a coach, a decent one at that, fired because he got the coaching bug and wanted to coach the Lakers

3. Unretired, 5 years after getting dick Ebola, couldn't beat out Nick van exel for starting of

4. Somehow through all this got the shittest talk show known too man kind. Jesus I still have nightmares about this show

Whoever pulled the plug on magic in general lol

I am a fan of Kerr-who isn't? but winning CoY missing all the time he did was ridiculous.

Pop, Brad Stevens and Terry Stotts should have been ahead of him this year.

I'd bet that Stevens wins at least 2 of these in his career.

one of the dumbest votes ever.

he coached in less than half their games and they had a better winning percentage under walton.

i know they broke the record, but come on.

He was at most practices, he was in team meetings, etc. The player rotations were his, the plays they ran were his.

If you think in-game coaching makes up more than a very small percent of what a coach does, well then I can see why you feel the way you do. The writers who vote for the award know better.
