I was listening to the Rusillo podcast and they brought it up. They were actually indifferent to the notion.

Keep doing your thing ESPN

quote:

“It’s America’s national past time,” Smith stated. “It’s associated with the past in certain ways that we don’t need to get into at this particular moment on this show, but every damn body knows what I’m talking about.”

Smith went on a rant lamenting how Major League Baseball, which he pointed out to have more white players, allows players to police themselves by throwing at each other while “predominantly African-American” sports like the National Football League and the National Basketball Association have rules for dress code and player safety, saying baseball “lends itself towards a culture that has never gone away.”

Baseball's culture of "unwritten rules" is one of the most ridiculous things in sports.

Stephen A Smith also called out a guest on his show who was trying to say Kaepernick doesn't need to vote.

He plays both sides pretty well. Don't let him rustle your jimmies.

Start with not enjoying a home run. Always despised that rule.

Is he wrong?

He's likening baseball to a good ol boy network, and I see his point.

87% of bench clearing incidents in a 5 year span were between 2 players of a different race.

What the shite does the NFL and NBA having a dress code have to do with baseball players throwing at each other?

Teams get to decide if they want their players to dress well. I was fined every damn time I didn't have at least a collared shirt on with the 2 organizations I was with. Other ones let guys walk out the clubhouse after a game in flip flops and board shorts.

Are you and Stephen complaining that the MLB doesn't have a tyrannical commissioner?

dress code and player safety,
NBA dress code is one of the best codes around. Screw their ghetto attire. Also, player safety is racist?

Don't mention a no-hitter.

Don't even sit next to the guy.
