I've always liked his game.He plays hard and plays smart, usually.

He might shoot a little more than his teammates would like.

if josh smith keeps contributing like he did in Game 2, then it will be a sight to see, for sure.

however, he could revert back to his game 1 performance and absolutely suck again, so obviously you know you're going to get a mixed bag with him.

oh no not a poll! Like i said harden is a good player, but he would rather trow his right shoulder into someone and jump into someone on a layup that isnt even going to contest his shot than actually make the shot. which is why he will never win a nba title. When you play for cheap baskets and playoff basketball gets more physical and refs start to let teams play more that way, his game will suffer. And those missed shots from trying to draw a fould will hurt you more than ever.

Yea Smith will have bad games like he did in Game 1, Ariza and Jones didn't have good games last night but were great in Game 1. Terry and Brewer have been really good in both games. Just can't have 3 of the major role player having bad games on the same night that's when they'll lose games.

If he was merely a 'good player' who just tried to trow his shoulder into people, don't you think his fellow peers would recognize that? And not call him MVP of league? Use your noggin bro.

Meh, he's right there as a top 5 guy to me. Personally, I think Lebron, Durant, Westbrook, Curry and Davis are better and would have Harden at #6, but that's a pretty negligible difference. Those six guys, along with CP3, are all worthy of being in the top 5 conversation, IMO.

mvp "candidate" means nothing. Hell mvp means nothing. There have been years guys should win mvp and dont. Whe he can lead his team to win w championship, then he can be at that next level.

A knack, you mean running into defenders while throwing the ball up as if he has just been shot? Yeah he is all-NBA

There's a huge gap between 'good player" and being a guy who has lead their team to a championship.

Do you want to know why this is?

Harden is so good at breaking down his man and getting to the rim that the only option defenders have is to foul him.

This is taken to the next level in the playoffs because they do not give up lay-ups in the playoffs. They will foul the he out of a player in the playoffs before giving up a free bucket.

So the lay-ups that would normally count towards his FG% are turned into free throws.

He shots that he doesn't get fouled on are generally jump shots. He's often relied on to take his man 1-on-1 when the shot clock is running down, and he'll take a step-back jumper. Or he shoots 3's.

Those kinds of shots aren't very good percentage-wise, so his FG% will be low. All of his high percentage looks result in fouls by the defense because they don't want to give up an easy bucket.

Wait, so you don't like Harden's game but you are a fan of Westbrook? lol

I like them both but you are really reaching. I get that you don't have much basketball to talk about these days, but come the f on mayne.

Where did I say I'm a fan of Westbrook? I think he's a better player than Harden.

You seem confused. I'm reaching by saying that Westbrook is a top 5 player IMO, while Harden is in the discussion but not quite there? Westbrook had more points, assists and rebounds while carrying a much heavier load this year. He had a higher PER, and he's a better defender.

You don't have to get upset because I don't like Harden, it's just a message board bro. It will be okay.

I guess I just disagree. I like threes, crossovers, dunks, euro steps, step backs, great passing, ect. He is fouled because guys can't stay in front of him.

Really?
