I just think the style of play is bland. All the head coaches and offensive coordinators are recycled, nobody takes risks and for the most part the offensive play is very vanilla.

Say what you want about the Oregons and Baylors of college football, but they make the game a whole lot more entertaining.

I also hate the comercial kickoff comercial combo. Just a complete waste of time.

Teams underthrowing bombs on purpose so that they can cheese their way into a 40 yard PI or first and goal on the 1-yard line?

The last CBA

play is sloppy because they don't practice nearly as much

There's a law in the NFL that one of your team's coaches must be a Ryan, a Phillips, a Schottenheimer, or a Shanahan.

Disagree. That shite was fine when it was viewed as gimmicky, but it's jeopardizing the sport as it becomes more commonplace. I'd rather watch a smash mouth SEC or Big 10 game than that.

Players have gotten too big and fast. It's almost impossible to keep players healthy and the salary cap keeps you from building depth. The top teams each year are usually the ones that are the luckiest with injuries.
There is now way that we have naturally evolved as a species from 1985 when William Perry was considered a freak a 315 to today when that's the average for that position.

People can bitch about the NFL all they want, they will still watch it every Sunday.

I'm torn. I don't like watching the Oregons and Baylors of the world either, but watching boring and bad offensive teams like the Texans, Panthers and Browns (and YES, the 2015 Saints) is miserable.

Didn't watch Thursday.

Watched the Saints today.

Skipped the late the game.

Watching tonight until I get sleepy.

Not interested in the Monday game. I might watch until halftime or I might not.

There was a time in my life when I would have changed plans to watch a Jaguars game on a Thursday night. Probably as recent as 2 or 3 years ago.

And they moved the pat too far back. When the weather gets worse, there's gonna be more than a couple blown games over this. I noticed Tomlin going for two today, Heinz will be one of the worst places, and with a backup pk I think he's already getting ready.

Not being sarcastic at all, but how old are you?

I'm genuinely curious if you are young and this is what you know or if you think it's better than it was even 20 years ago.

And since a lot of people are playing the "sour grapes Saints fan" card, I will say this. I hate the Cowboys and the 49ers, and I thought the NFL was much better in the 70s and 80s and even the early 90s when they dominated the NFL and the Saints hadn't even won a playoff game yet.

they're trying to appeal to certain demographics too much... we've gone from "Are you ready for some football?" to Faith Hill

People can say what they want about the commercials but the games are still faster than college CBS games.

During the LA Tech/K State game, Fox ran commercials after a kickoff. That's a revolting development.
