Someone explain LeBron to Miami is the same as Durant to GS

These are not even close in my opinion. LeBrons move back to Cleveland is the same as his move to Miami. Both had one superstar and acquired another and supporting cast. Both were upstarts. Durant went to a team full of superstars coming off of two straight finals appearances and a historic regular season.

For the record I don't like LeBron and liked Durant before he turned into a beta cuck.

It isn't the exact same, but it had the same intention which was to dominate with an absurd talent advantage. The difference is LeBron recruited Bosh to go with him and then Ray Allen. Durant just went to a team that was already championship caliber. Lebron built his team.

Ok. Still makes my point valid. LeBron has done more with a lot less than Durant.

1. Lebron joined two player who were top 5 in PER.

Kevin, joined only one.

2. Lebron did it first, paving the way for your Durants to make similar moves with less backlash.

It's hilarious the lengths people will go to defend pretty much the same move. So Durant would only be respected if he went to a team like the Nets? Why would he waste away the rest of his career playing for a scrub? Of course you go to GS if you can?

The hate for Durant seems worse than the often times irrational hate for LeBron because it makes absolutely no sense.

I don't get this point. He was the best player in the world, joined the 3rd best player in the world and the 7th-8th best player in the world.

The Lakers had just been to 2 straight Finals and were the defending champs, but after the Super Friends teamed up they became the Vegas favorites to win the title. It wasn't like this was some project. People were talking about them being better than the 96 Bulls from the jump. Lebron was talking about winning all of these rings. Why do we forget these things?

Lebron got it much much worst than Durant ever will. And rightfully so. He paved the way. And also he coulda been Goat if not for that move. KD I don't think he coulda ever been GOAT.

It's all relative I guess, but this feels dumb considering the rosters when Lebron actually won.

The difference is KD went to a team that was seconds away from back to back championships. He went to a team that he blew a 3-1 lead too. That's like a bully taking someone's lunch money and instead of fighting back, he just pays for the bully's lunch everyday so they can be friends

Naw. Those guys were top 2 players in the league when they made the move. Huge diffeeence between the best player doing it in his prime and anothter player doing it at the tail end of his career.

no it's not

you're just creating "boom rules" because that's the only way your arguments make sense (in your head, at least)

If love isn't, than neither is Klay.

ETA: I don't understand how someone uses the "star" count to defend Lebron. Lebron fans spend so much time and effort trying to convince us he's the GOAT, yet they marginalize him by making it sound like KD cancels him out.

What makes Golden State a "Superteam"? Everyone basically except Durant was drafted by GS and weren't the best player in the draft. So they are being hated for drafting and developing players they drafted. Lebron picked this Cleveland roster basically playing GM if he doesn't like it is his fault. His team has the highest salary and traded away two no.1 draft picks

No, he could've stayed with Westbrook and gotten another piece or two. They were really close. Instead of being an Alpha dog and beating GS arse, he went and joined them. Now he's talking about taking a pay cut to stay on the team. What a pussy.

They are a super team because they are the best team of all time with arguably 4 of the top 20 players in the NBA.

Their best player missed 21 games and they went like 17-4 without him.
