NBA revenue has exploded. Their talent is at or near an all-time high. The league has adapted to the internet and social media better than other major American sports. The NBA is set to take up the slack of the NFL's decline (whether it is CTE, failure to keep up in social media, or politics) as it comes.

Actually, it will get more popular as parent (mainly moms) pull their kids out of football for fear of head injuries.

Here's another thing about European soccer leagues. They don't play their country's national anthem before every game because they realize it has no place in a domestic sporting event. The only time you will hear a country’s anthem is when one national team meets the other and that's the way it should be.
