Can you imagine the SEC champ not getting into the playoff?

The team that has 2 losses and got beat by 39 points in one of its game didn't make it!? The horror!

It's odd for sure but whatever.

I remember during the BCS era SEC fans would say things like, "Well, the SEC is the best conference so it's almost impossible to leave the SEC Champ out."

It's weird how things can change so quickly but whatever.

1 game is worth more than a head to head victory and a conference title..?

LOL.

The line for Meyer's nuts is just a little shorter than the one for Saban's.

Not this year, but losing two games does matter.

When that one game is a loss, yes. Look at how the polls work week to week. I have followed college football for 30 years and EVERY SINGLE YEAR, the very first thing that separates teams is the number of losses. It may be lazy, but it is the way it's always been.

It would have happened last year if Arkansas didn't convert a 4th and 25 against Ole Miss

Yes, if a team like Florida this year pulls a stunner in the SEC Championship game, they would not be in the playoffs.

Although I do believe penn state should be in based on beating Ohio state on the field and winning the conference.
