It's not professional.

To answer the obvious question.

Would be fine with me. I also think they should rotate it between all of the NFL teams stadiums. Why shouldn't Cleveland/Chicago/Cincinnati/ get to host a SB.

Obviously Cleveland and Cincy wouldn't work, but Chicago and Philly would be great. It's a shame Green Bay isn't a big city because Lambeau would be awesome

I seem to remember in a previous thread about this, Saints/LSU fans saying the reason they built a dome in NOLA was because it go too "hot" for football without a dome.

Is that really true?

It's all relative. NFL is not the same any longer, replay was the beginning of the end. Long live Lamar Lundy, Rosie Grier, Merlin Olsen, and David Jones !

Circumstances caught up w/ San Diego in that one. It would have been a hell of a game b/t SF and SD ! Cincy deserved the home field and took advantage of it. SD was worn out and there was almost no way they could win that game. Those (SD v Miami . SD v
Cincy) were some classic games I will always remember.

True. That whole playoffs was amazing.

So it's currently 28 degrees at the Meadowlands...Yet the biggest game of the year is going to be played there.

I hope it snows like two feet the day of the game.

Everyone else is entitled to their opinions, but. . . I fricking love the idea of a SuperBowl in cold winter weather! Really.

It's all in the perspective I guess. To my way of thinking it takes away, or greatly reduces an element of the game.
And enhances other, more traditional, elements. Running. Defense. Toughness.

Outdoor football reminds me of amateur and college ball.

Not professional.
Really?. . . If anything, I have the exact opposite opinion.

I'm not sure why a conference championship game is fine in the snow, but not two weeks later for the Super Bowl?

Because depending on how you build your team it can be an advantage.

And when all these corporate fat cats' trophy wives and mistresses bitch about three or four days in frigid NYC instead of San Diego or South Beach, that will be the last outdoor northern Super Bowl.

Hell, they (and the national media) all pissed and moaned about the cold weather in Dallas when there was the ice storm.

What was funny to me was the weather wasn't even all that bad.

I lived in CT for 4 years and that ice storm was typical weather for their winters.
