He will explode to a .250 average and 10-15 homers. Amazing player.

Crimsonian hates Heyward because he still thinks batting average, home runs, and RBI are the best way to measure a player's value.

What you said about tons of hype is probably a big reason why a lot of Braves fans didn't like Heyward. He's certainly no Mike Trout, but he's still a really valuable defensive player and even when his power was down last year, he was an above average offensive player by wOBA. I'm sure crimsonian will tell me that wOBA is a garbage stat but he also still thinks the earth is flat.

How are you liking Jason Heyward so far?

Solid player that will hopefully find a rhythm at the plate. Despite your best efforts to troll, most STL fans aren't going to freak out over his lack of production at the plate thus far.

Please Cardinals, spend $20 million a year for lack of production. I'll take Markakis.

He sure does seem salty that's for sure.

I laugh at people that think the MLB is still in 2008 PED smash ball form. Meanwhile the Royals were dead last in homeruns hit last year and made the World Series with players like Heyward in their outfield, the Giants were 17th in homeruns, and STL 29th,thats 3 of your 4 Championship Series teams with below league average power and 2 being at the very bottom.

The game has significantly changed the last couple of years, some people struggle to adapt expectations around that.

It's gonna be so awesome watching Cards fans pull random stats out their arse to justify the trade and likely extension.

I don't believe in HR's. That is what ruined the Braves. Patron and company were ok with the strikeout. No worse than just putting it in play. So wrong last year. They won't admit it. Our front office admitted it, I don't know why they can't. Small ball is where it is at.

The only stat we'll need are the ones from October. Seeing how the Braves won't have any to compare...

beHop, he will never find rhythm at the plate. He will get hot and you will think he turned the corner. Raise his average 30-40 points, then injury or back to struggling. Happens every year. Our fans ate up his hot streaks.

I have no issue with Jason Heyward I just simply do not believe he is worth $20MM/season. Braves fans wanted him to be worth $20MM/season hence why most are hoping he continues to struggle so they are proved "right".

He is a 7 or 8 hitter batting in the 2-spot. Always has been.
