Yeah it’s not even close who the best player in college football is.

The average distance to target is glaring. Nix can only play in the offense as its designed, but they do a lot of west coast type stuff with the short passes.

All that talk about Daniels playing late in games and the LSU defense benefitting him while he only has 14 more plays than Nix.

Daniels should win it.

Nix's success says more about how good Oregon's system is. They can plug and play anyone into that system especially with how they are cleaning up recruiting in CA.

The strength of schedule is a knee slapper, that alone, all else equal, should really end any argument. But all else isn't equal. As someone pointed out, Omar Speights was first team All Pac-12 last year and absolutely cratered at LSU this year. This is the level of competition Nix and Penix are playing against.

Daniels should be a slam dunk winner. The media has been pushing Penix since week one and somehow downplay Daniels. Makes no sense, especially since Penix has looked mediocre for several weeks now.

I’d argue Daniels has been far more dominant for that very reason.

If you were adjust those statistics by opponent defensive efficiency it would be an even bigger blowout, but the 3 losses weighs heavily so who knows how it plays out.

It should be Daniels but it will be the winner of Penix/Nix on Friday night unless it’s a hilariously bad game by both

Penix has fallen out of the race based on his play the last few weeks. It's between Nix and Daniels now. It will be based on personal beliefs of each voter. Better player (Daniels) versus best player on a top team (Nix).

Where is strength of schedule coming from?

LSU can’t have had the 7th most difficult schedule this year unless reputation is too heavily waited and everybody’s strength of schedule went down.

Starting to lean towards Penix after all because that is a really AVERAGE team...and yet here we are, they're #4.

Would've really helped Daniels if he frickin' beat Bama and didn't sort of turd it up against FSU (1 TD, 1 Int)...

daniels should be the runaway heisman winner. it doesn't even look like it should be a contest.

Okay, how about you list the other teams that have played four top 10 opponents?

It’s also who has the final say. Next week, Oregon is playing in prime time vs an undefeated top 5 team while LSU is done. If Oregon wins and Nix has a big game, the Heisman is his.
