The reason why Ryan fricking Fitzpatrick starts in the NFL is because of his intelligence and football IQ.
If he had any assemblance of a strong arm or even escapability, he would be an all-pro.

This may be tangential to the point, but why pick Brett Favre as your model of football IQ? The guy was a dumbass in a lot of ways. He won the Super Bowl because he had two pro bowl receivers to throw to and a defense led by one of the greatest linemen of all time.

You obviously don't watch him play. he does that exceptionally well for a college quarterback. That is perhaps his biggest strength.

Agreed. JW has av extremely high football IQ. It's often sited by scouts in their evaluations.
Plus he is one of those guys who seems to love the game

Brett wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but the dude knew how to play the game.

Count me in that camp, too. JW "gets" the game of football. And from all reports, he is the same way with baseball. The guy has a 1.08 ERA in 33 innings pitched.
Makes me wonder if he can't pull off the two-sport thing. But as others have said, JW's character issues may get in his way.

Everytime Winston is talked about on TD...it's his speech and he's stupid.
That there have been hundreds of posts about Winston being a dumbass because of the way he speaks.
