So FSU was jumping the gun from the beginning. The center was preventing the ref from doing his job. Then the incident with Winston happened. He should have been ejected, and, frankly, the center should have penalized.

Yep. An ex official appearing on ESPN said the same, and anyone arguing to the contrary is ignorant.

Jennings pushed a refs hand out the way during the Arkansas game. LSU fans were begging for him to be ejected.

Yes we were. I was surprised he wasn't.

I think the issue is FSU was saying they didn't substitute and that was a drive where Jameis was in a groove so they were hurrying to the line. In that situation I understand his side and the ref is kind of just standing where the QB should be looking back, not over the ball like normal.

Should he have been flagged for something? Probably, but to be ejected for such a thing when he's just trying to get to the center snap? Nah that would be stupid.

You FSU fans will apoligize for anything that Jameis does as long as he keep winning.

You make me sick.

Well I mean you excused his pushing a ref, so that's typically apoligizing for someone's behavior.

But hey, what do I know. I don't have gold and garnet glasses on, I might not be seeing it clearly.

I see you haven't been watching college football for a while now. The refs are always standing over the ball to stop the offense from going up tempo after subbing. Regardless of whether Winston thinks his team subbed or not, the ref was standing there. Only a borderline retarded qb would shove the ref out of the way so that his team could snap the ball. Only a gutless coward of a ref wouldn't throw a flag there.

With the scored tied at 17-17 and 5:20 left in the third quarter, an official stood between Winston and center Cam Erving to prevent the Seminoles (No. 3 CFP, No. 1 AP) from running their next play. An official is instructed to stand over the ball to prevent the offense from snapping it until the defense has sufficient time to match the offense's substitutions. The center judge was not standing over the football, however, and Erving was already set with his hand on the ball.

"center judge".....Who the frick wrote that?

I would have pulled the trigger on him for the push, but it doesn't meet the criteria for ejection.

Shoved a ref who was just doing his job.
Rumor has it that on the way back to the locker room, he stepped on a sidewalk crack.
A firing squad should have been immediately assembled.

Did I do that right?

One thing I like about CFB: the referees will tell you who will win so you can change the channel and watch another game.
If you believe this only happens in CFB, the joke's on you.

quote:

Yesterday, there were at least three occasions in that FSU game where the refs basically told the viewers that FSU was winning, no matter what.
Happens in nearly every game.

The reason they get away with it is because:
1. You have to watch the game sober to see it.
2. You have to understand the game, the teams, the players and momentum. The Vegas line setters aren't the only ones playing close attention to these factors.

FSU vs Bama in the final.
Sure looks like that's what's being set up.

quote:

Should be a good game.
Won't be.

Like the Bama-ND game, you'll know Bama is going to win by the first drive of the game.

The media is setting up FSU as the bad guy, so that Bama can swoop in and save the day, playing the part of the "good guy."

It'll be disgusting. But the majority will conveniently overlook the fix for Bama because of their hatred for FSU.

Does it really matter??? He is a decent QB who has a shitload of talent that bails him out... If I am A NFL GM I do not touch him... He is NOT THAT GOOD..........

You're being ridiculous. They missed a few calls on both teams. Greene was pushed out of bounds right in front of the referee and he swallowed his whistle.

The amount of butthurt on this board over the Noles is ridiculous.

The dude makes all the NFL throws. He anticipates where his receivers will be, he brings his team down from large deficits, and he plays well under pressure.

The kid knows how to be a QB.

But, if you're a GM, you have to question the kid's maturity.

I used to think it was just Bama fans, because FSU stole their thunder and have been the talk the last two years - after Auburn buried Bama...and then FSU downed Aubbie.

But now I think it's this hatred, that any school outside the SEC is the defending CHAMP

Intelligence is the most important thing for an NFL QB, followed by arm strength.

He lacks the number 1 requirement for an NFL QB. He is the next Vince Young.

Like football IQ? Because Winston has it. They don't need you to be an honor student. It's why Fitzpatrick will never be Brett Favre.
