She's not estranged from her husband as she was seen having dinner with him on the weekend the tapes were leaked.

Also, you should google her as she was named in the Housing Discrimination lawsuit against Sterling in 02/03. She's not faultless and has attempted to play both sides of the fence during the scandal in hopes she can keep the team and her husband IMO

Well until private conversations of her's are leaked, there is no reason for her not to own it. This whole story is fricking ridiculous and the phony outrage really needs to stop.

Doc rivers said shelley could come to the games because "she didn't do anything wrong"

That goes to show you how uneducated these people raging about sterling really are.

Kind of makes you wonder this recording was leaked after she was in a picture with Magic. Then Magic and his team of white investors that bought the dodgers announce they are interested in the clippers.

She didn't say anything racist, she's estranged from her husband, and she wants what's hers. IMO she's entitled to the team in the divorce, or at least half of it anyway.

She has said racist things and conducted business in a racist manner in the past.

Big fricking deal. I bet all the owners have done something in the past that the media could create a circus for. This whole story is fricking dumb.

What's happening is happening because in the NBA, the players essentially run the league. Those players are overwhelmingly African-American so nobody should be surprised that they are awfully upset. The BS Report with Klosterman laid all this out pretty well and if it's true that the NBAPA is taking as hard a line stance as they are AND Sterling agreed to the various moral and "detriment of the league" statements that make it possible for the league for force a sale then it is what it is. Not sure why so many on here seem to care though. Worst case, Sterling will be "punished" via a billion dollar payoff. Boo fricking hoo.

that's not good for the team though. los angeles already experienced something similar with the dodgers and mccourts.

Rivers just seems a little dumb. He gets swept up in public opinion. He endorsed her coming to the games without knowing her past. He was apparently ignorant of the actual racism Donald Sterling displayed before, so he was appalled by the recording and couldn't coach for him anymore. He's no different than the players, who just want the Sterlings to go down as symbols of racism. It was fine before the widely publicized recording, when they conveniently decided to finally take a stand against Sterling.

Well maybe one day you'll be a business owner and that business will be stripped from you. We'll see how you like it.

For a billion dollars I would like it just fine, especially if I violated agreements to get said business stripped from me and still got paid off.

I think for some of you it's more that you could see yourself making the same kind of statements Sterling made, so you fear what could happen to you. This is not a bad thing IMO.
