Shelly Sterling wants to keep Clippers. Why Is Doc against it?

He never said he's against it, but based on his verbiage he was definitely beating around the bush about it.
My question is why would it be a "difficult situation" as he put it.
She didn't say anything racist, she's estranged from her husband, and she wants what's hers. IMO she's entitled to the team in the divorce, or at least half of it anyway.

Look her up. Went around Donald's apartments collecting race information while posing as a government official.

Who cares? People who get that rich are sleazeballs most of the time. You think Jerry Jones never fricked anyone over to get to the top?
If we start digging for skeletons in the closets of owners, they'd all be banned lol

Wow not true at all and how the frick would you know that?
I edited because it came off as harsh and I didn't intend to mean it as a bad thing. I have no problem with rich people and staunchly defend Sterling and his wife in this matter.
My point was that nobody is perfect and to achieve wealth like that, often times it is at the expense of others so they could probably find dirt on any NBA owner.
But they don't want to, this is a witch hunt to appease the masses who are "outraged"

The answer is that she has the Sterling name and it will seem like poison to the team until she is gone, and I agree with that.

Fair enough, I will do the same

Cool. Just what the NBA needs the next Marge Schott. An elderly female who has economic, social and political opinions that are outdated. She will be an instant celebrity, and everything she utters will be used as grist for the mill of public ridicule and outrage. How could any self-respecting journalist be opposed to her getting ownership of the Clippers. The stories will practically write themselves.

bc Doc knows that Donald Sterling would probably still be calling the shot behind the scenes.

a better question is why he was cool with her going to the games after donald was banned. he went to bat for her
now, again, he displays his utter hypocrisy

Because we have to give the team to Magic Johnson to make up for her husband being a bigot.
