Ah, that's why we're on the same page here, I think. I studied marketing at A&M

Between that and having a bevy of younger siblings who keep me interested in what resonates with their demographics, I have a pretty eclectic palate when it comes to new and alternate uniforms. I don't like them all across the board (usually like oregon's, bit some of their latest ones the past 2 years haven't wowed me, and I love ASU's new base look, but am hit or miss on their alts), but I find myself liking farore than I don't.

As for A&M, I've been a fan of our look and all of our alternates since the SEC move (we had some truly horrid threads our last couple of years in the big 12). Only ones I didn't like were the white alternate jerseys we wore vs. State in 2014.

aTm's base uniforms are slick as can be. Most of the alternate are terrible though.

That's fair

I think alts will always be hit/miss, as a matter of course. Even if I hate one, they're usually one-offs, so it's no biggie.

But both are a big upgrade from the lame 'M' helmets

I can't argue with you on this point (although I don't hate the block M either). Toonces debuted when I was a student at LSU, so I used to be jealous of the Mizzou Tiger logo.

FTR, I'm just anti-giant helmet decals in general. I think these Okie State helmets are an abomination.

The traditionalist and KISS of a uniform to me is what I like.

I think a football uniform should be simple elegant and very clean lines.

My basic rules were:
Hat/pant stripe same is a must
Hats must shine to show person taking photo in the photo
Use your main color dominantly
TV numbers should be on yoke
Fonts should all be same
Belts to be opposite of pant and shown if used
No fly front do not slot belt
No solid white socks if pulled all the way up
I liked white shoes but kids/coaches wanted black

This is what I was getting at with my consistency comment earlier

My co-workers and I were having trouble earlier, too.

I opened the page in chrome and didn't touch it for about 5 minutes. Worked fine after that.

The huge logo going over most of the helmet trend does nothing for me. I prefer the appropriately sized logo on both sides of the helmet. This is where Nike fails with Mizzou and ASU.

The shiny helmets used to be cool, but are now too cliche. Notre Dame pulls them off well but everyone else seems to reaching a bit (looking at you Kentucky and Indiana).
