Do you really think in this day and age that the USC football coach could vanish for 30 days and the media wouldn't find out about it? Think McFly, think!

Well I disagree. If the MTV board can out Josh Trank for being a terror on the set of Fantastic Four, its going to come out the the HC of USC is going to treatment. The world is too small for something that big to be kept secret when he was having such high profile frick ups in public.

He's the most famous alcoholic in the country.

If he is in a rehab and does it the right way nobody should hear from him or about him for a few weeks. Other than his location. Which should remain private too but will certainly leak.

Maybe its Haden's call, maybe not. I'm sure that legally they will be fine. Morally though? It stinks to high heaven that they would shitcan him in this way when they damn well knew for quite a while that he had a serious problem and did absolutely nothing to step in. To me it just shows what kind of a place that USC is. If I was a student's parent I would be very wary of sending my child there over this. If that how they treat a high profile employee who has done a lot for the school, how are they going to react if something bad is happening w/a kid?

Completely agree. You can't fire someone through their agent for having addiction problems, because of the problem that might cause for them. We're talking about a man's life here. This is irresponsible.

Not saying you can't fire someone for having addiction problems, but not like this.

That's because it's not a disease.

Probably passed out in a dank Tijuana back alley covered in half-eaten tacos and empty bottles of tequila...

They said he was missing, not at his usual "Tuesday Hangout".

When you make this kind of money, you don't get a second chance. Do you think the results would be different if the CEO of a Fortune 500 Company showed up on national television high as a kite and shredded his company's stock in front of 10 million people? Sarkisian made $4.25M a year and his salary was in the top 10 of NCAA football coaches. With that comes a shite ton of responsibility.

You know this how? You don't know dick about this. You think they knew he was getting drunk during games and just didn't care?

USC acted quickly because they had to. They have to preserve the recruits they can and not let this drag on until the end of the year. Everyone knew SS was gone so what's the point of giving him until the end of the year?
