Dude, football IS life for Saban. I think he is happy spending his time coaching. It's not like he's putting shingles on a goddamn roof for a living.

He's a nightmare of epic proportions. He doesn't want to go anywhere, he just wants to sit at Alabama and fricking haunt LSU for all eternity. It's the most frustrating shite ever. Our only hope is a scandal. For the love of God, somebody get busy framing that SOB for something already. Can you imagine another 5 years of Saban at Bama? 10? Yeah we make ourselves feel better about that possibility by thinking, "well if he's there past 70, there has to be a dropoff anyway." But does there? I'm not a particularly religious man but it's clear as day that somebody at Alabama has a soul owned by the devil and I've got a pretty good inkling that that person's name starts with an N and ends in -ick Saban.

Welcome to the suck.

I had no idea he was that old. Thought maybe late 50's. I kind of feel bad for him. Nobody should work after age 65. The guy needs to retire and enjoy life outside of football while he is still physically able to.

If I had to guess I'd say that Saban will coach until he can't anymore and die soon after.

His age is very much an advantage. When he was younger he kept leaving jobs. Now, he's too old to leave and start again.

I think Saban is pretty well balanced. I mean do you ever hear of what he does in the offseason????? What he has built at bama in just an unreal force . Recruits want to go there. Saban only shows up to close the deal . He walks into a recruits house and it's basically over. He gets what he wants and the other coaches flick over the rest. Kinda like lsu baseball in the 90's.
