So then it sounds like the rule isn't needed....

Fair enough, but that doesn't make it a terrible rule, just unnecessary.

I don't remember how the fouls went, but I suppose OBJ could have had two PFs against Carolina. I don't have much of a problem with someone like that being eject with the way that game was going for him.

I don't like this rule, because some personal fouls can be weak.

Why not continue to let the ref decide if an action is ejection worthy.. It needs to be something really serious IMO

It could just further make defensive player not play so hard.. they already have to watch themselves enough.. which is a lesser product.

with all of these rules, they need to start paying the refs 20 mill a year and the players a couple hundred thousand.

can't remember the last game where a player had two personal fouls in one game.

OBJ and Nelson both should have been ejected by halftime.

I don't know. I mean personal fouls are often huge penalties and guys are usually ejected if they do something really crazy like throw a punch or fight really badly anyway. To me the 15 yards which are often drive killers /sustainers plus the first if on offense are enough punishment.

If they're so he'll bent on changing a rule why not let a coach use their challenges to actually challenge anything they want whether a bad call, a penalty they feel is unjust, etc.

The idea that you can hit someone hard enough during the course of a play in a full pad contact sport to warrant a penalty and ejection is laughable.

I am guessing he never actually played in a game with a referee.
He needs to REFEREE some practices.
He will find out you can call shite every single possession.

If anybody else would have been commish nobody would complain

The rule is a good rule, it's no different than the college rule.

Talib would be ejected under this rule?

Is taunting a personal foul?

The Facemask wouldn't have counted but Taunting would have.
