Asik torpedoed his trade value with that early season temper tantrum

Yeah, his trade value is probably pretty low.

I mean, they'll still get something decent, its not just going to be expirings or something. But its not going to be as good as the Rocketards expect.

Certainly not Ryan Anderson or a player of his caliber.

Yeah, I doubt Morey only gets someone of Ryan Anderson's caliber when it's all said and done. Nobody wants a PF that can't play D or rebound. Nothing is going to get done for another week anyway.

Parsons > Harden. So no.

I think the closest they may get to this is the former Mr. Kardashian, Kris Humphries, who is just paid like a high-level 4.

What do you honestly think Ryan Anderson's trade value is?

To the Pels? Way more than Asik.

You can't just think in cold player value. The Pels value Ryan Anderson A LOT. He is the heart of the team and totally changes how they play basketball. They are WAY better with him than without him. His spacing, leadership, etc are worth a tremendous amount to them. He's just too valuable to the team.

AND he's on a great contract for cheaper and longer than Asik. He's playing out of his mind offensively right now.

Asik's value is dogshit right now relative to what it was last year. He's a very good defensive center but the Rockets NEED to trade him and everyone knows it.

At this point, you can't get Anderson for him. No shot.

You might be able to get Milsap or something though? I don't know.

If they can get the money to work, a Asik for Hickson deal would make sense for both sides.

With his skill set and contract, a whole hell of a lot more than Asik.

What nonsense Of course the Pels are better with him than with Amundsun or Stiemsa.

Oh, we might be able to get a better player than Ryan Anderson? I'm glad you agree.

Asik for Brandon Bass and Marshon Brooks works

Asik for Glen Davis works

Asik for Kris Humprhies works (and he is expiring)

Asik wants to start so that makes it a bit tougher to find him a home.

There is a ton of poo-poo platters out there like Richard Jefferson or Hedo that are expiring if the Rockets want to ramp up their tax payments for this year

I'm saying he's too valuable to THAT particular team. More valuable than Asik would be. And Anderson is better than Asik. And he's better than Millsap at this point, especially considering that Millsap gets paid more than him. So no, Millsap isn't a better player, but as always, you guys are adorable.

I can tell you exactly whats going to happen:

Morey is going to make a deal that leaves Houston fans saying WTF.

He will then make another move right before the deadline that will make it seem like it makes a lot more sense.

The whole point of doing it before Dec 19th is to be able to make another move at the deadline.

As well you should. He's done some decent things.

I really think the Asik deal is going to be one that leaves Houston fans scratching their head. That's what December 19th as a deadline signifies. All about the next move.

And Anderson is better than Asik.
They play different positions and play completely different games.

There is no way to say who is "better". It matters who fits better on a particular team depending on the players that team already has.

Anderson is better than Milsap? Really, seriously really. Plus Milsap is only have two years on his deal for 8 mil. That is a bargin versus Anderson.

I'm pretty sure most were expecting that... especially after it came out that he was asking for draft picks.

Houston is in win-now mode, so picks are going to be packaged in a trade and flipped to another team.

After Morey built this team from scratch through flipping picks and players, I have no doubt he's going to do something similar and make a few moves before he reaches his goal.

I entertain the Asik for Anderson trade talk here just for discussion, but I don't believe any trade will be a straight-up swap.
