Hey thanks for quoting me on that. Looks like I was proven right. I hope you keep the quote into next season.

Are you actually this retarded or is that a troll? Serious question.

Only Spurs fans are missing from this thread. It's a shame that Hornets fans ran them all off back in '08.

Which was pretty impressive considering his reckless style of play.

Not saying I see this happening, but if the Howard move does not pan out, this board is gonna be pretty damn funny to watch

If it does it will be even more entertaining.

Nah, I disagree. Everyone (myself included) sees the Rockets as the 3rd or 4th best team in the West now. It's expected.

if it doesn't work out, they took a big swing for the fences, a move 25 other teams would have, and struck out. With the way the Yao/t-Mac era ended, it's just nice to be players again

Can't fault that line of thinking.

I'm just very curious as to what Dwight we're going to see this year. And how things go if it's still "Harden's team".

dwights going to have to figure out what he wants. Main option on a good team or co star with a worthy colleague and be great. If LBJ can share the ball/spot light, so can he. I have long defended Dwight's antics but they have become indefensible. It's put up or shut up time for D12

So in your opinion, is he now option #1 or is Harden still "the guy"?

I don't think he currently has the offensive repertoire to run the offensive strictly through him. We certainly ran an up and down, up tempo offensive last year, spear headed by Hardin. Will be interesting to see how they play together. One things for certain: they both are going to have to sacrifice things for the greater good of the team. Like all championship caliber teams.

Not really. It isn't like Rockets fans are talking a bunch of shite and predicting a championship like the Laker fans did last year before the season started.

but there are very few chancey billups out there who dont work out at the first stop, but figure it out later and become a (borderline super) star.
Billups? He's not comparable at all.

Holiday, Gordon, Evans and Anderson all "worked out" very well at their first stops, they aren't trying to "figure it out." Those guys are well established in the league. Demps didn't take fliers on scrubs hoping they'd turn it around like Billups.

quote:

you can justify them all you want, but if youre expecting any of those guys to be perennial all NBA performers, youre dreaming.
We're not, so i guess we're good

quote:

jrue is a nice player, but what it comes down to is: is it a championship level team with him as the 3rd best player? i dont think so. 4th?
I'd like to find the team who's 4th best player is coming off an all star appearance. If Jrue Holiday is a championship team's 4th best player, that team's winning 70 games.

quote:

gordon is always hurt. yall can keep building around him, but deep down yall know he cant be counted on
Literally NOBODY is talking about building around Gordon.

quote:

tyreke can score the ball on a bad team. he doesnt do the little things(defense!!) to be a big time player on a legit team.
Maybe, but thats total guess work. He played for a clown franchise that switched coaches every year, with broke owners, and the most selfish roster in the league.
quote:

yes, ryno makes too much money. hes a nice piece, but build around him? no thanks...
And again...nobody's building around Ryan Anderson...

Anthony Davis, Anthony Davis, Anthony Davis, Anthony Davis. Thats who this whole thing revolves around. Those other guys are just supporting pieces.
