Teague and Jennings are NEVER going to lead their teams to a title, I would bet any amount of money on that. Holiday on the other hand, looks fully capable of being the primary ballhandler of a very good-great team down the line.

Pelitard statement of the day.

nto a core of Jrue Holiday(23), Eric Gordon(24), Tyreke Evans(23), Anthony Davis(20), Ryan Anderson(25) and Austin Rivers(20)
heres the problem, all the above bolded players are all on at least their 2nd team. they all have their issues or they would still be with their original teams. think about it-- teams dont ship out franchise cornerstones unless their hands are completely tied.

but i would agree, demps has turned over a shitty roster into pieces/assets, but there are very few chancey billups out there who dont work out at the first stop, but figure it out later and become a (borderline super) star. but the road is littered with guys who showed flashes of brilliance but flame out and bounce around the league

Adding Howard hurts the rockets imo.
why? hes essentially a better asik

More specifically...it hurts harden....so it hurts the rockets
what player could the rockets add that wouldnt negatively affect hardin? hardin is going to have to learn to share the ball and add value in other ways (defense!!)

Jrue was traded from the Sixers because they are tanking for Wiggins. If they still had Jrue they would have been better but still not playoff caliber.

Gordon was traded here in the CP3 trade.

Tyreke came here in a sign and trade for Vasquez. Kings FO knew it was time to move on and so did Tyreke.

Anderson came here in a sign and trade for Gustovo Ayon... I guess Orlando didn't want to pay Ryno 8 mil/year.

Hey guys, remember when the Lakers were the "clear winners" of last year's offseason? Boy they sure went on to have one helluva a season I recall.

I like the pelicans young core

I am curious to see how the offense works with Dwight clogging up the drive lanes

Remember when OKC fleeced the Rockets in the Harden trade?

It will work the same way it did with Asik

Now, if they put Asik and Howard in at the same time, then they will have issues.

No
Asik didn't demand the ball
Howard will

Lowe wants to see Dwight and harden run pick and roll but Dwight has never been good at it because he can't shoot

And won 60 games and were more efficient offensively the next season? Lulz

(I will admit it sucked we only had Martin 1 year . But if either Lamb or Adams pan out, it won't matter really)

We got Harden for nothing while weakening the strongest team in the West.

Thanks, Sam Presti! You created a monster.

well, if you read the "the thunder butt rape rockets, trade harden for gigantic bounty" thread from last fall, the thunder lost an all NBA player and likely HOFer...

Harden a likely HOFer after one season as "the guy"? Wtf. And I am a rockets fan.

you can justify them all you want, but if youre expecting any of those guys to be perennial all NBA performers, youre dreaming. the team that had them up close for 3+ years knew they werent that caliber. so they were dealt.

jrue is a nice player, but what it comes down to is: is it a championship level team with him as the 3rd best player? i dont think so. 4th? now were talking, but are there 3 players better than him on this team? ehhh...

gordon is always hurt. yall can keep building around him, but deep down yall know he cant be counted on

tyreke can score the ball on a bad team. he doesnt do the little things(defense!!) to be a big time player on a legit team. 28-27(prorated from 22)-25-24. the number of wins his teams have had in his time in the league. hes a classic stat stuffer on a bad team

yes, ryno makes too much money. hes a nice piece, but build around him? no thanks...

I can promise that most "Pellies" fans had no idea who Tyreke Evans even was 6 months ago. Now? Move over Lebron!

You couldn't be more wrong. Dwight was the 9th best player in the league as the roll man in the P&R.

He was talking about Martin since a lot of people thought OKC won that trade.

Got the most he could for Harden. Won't fault him for that. Let's let this thing play out for the next or so shall we?

Lot of tarding occurring in this thread at the moment (Harden most likely a HOFer? Might be happen but are we serious with that shite?)

What in the frick. Nobody has even compared Tyreke to LeBron.

Your obsession with the Pelicans is disturbing. Did AD frick your girl or something?
