Montana's receivers were raped at the line of scrimmage and flogged going down the field. If Montana didn't get rid of the ball, he was at risk of being murdered (see Jim Burt). If Montana threw a pass over the middle of the field, his receiver might not make it back to the huddle with his head.....or life

Bart Starr is actually ahead of him.

1. Bart Starr - 104.8
2. Aaron Rodgers - 103.1
3. Kurt Warner - 102.8
4. Drew Brees - 100.7
5. Joe Montana - 95.6
6. Mark Sanchez - 94.3
...
9. Eli - 89.3
10. Peyton - 89.2
12. Brady 87.5
13. Kaep - 87.3
14. Favre - 86.3
15. Flacco - 86.2

Pretty incredible that Rodgers and Brees are over 100 in the playoffs.

Also crazy that Flacco is at 86.2 despite 2012 with 11 TDs to 0 Ints

The one year he had a solid defense they won the super bowl. Aaron Rodgers shouldn't have to apologize for not having the defenses that Brady had in New England at the start of his career

Brady's defensive numbers are pretty amazing. He's averaging a top 10 scoring defense for his career. I want to say Manning was in the 12-15 range while Brees was in the 18-22 range.

He's lost 4 playoff games, and in 3 of them the defense gave up 37+ points. He has the highest postseason passer rating of all time by a comfortable margin. He is NOT the reason theyve lost playoff games. The one year he had a solid defense they won the super bowl.

Valid points.

Well I stand corrected I thought he actually was the highest. Regardless, my main point still stands, he isn't the reason they lose playoff games, there isn't much more the guy could do. It takes a great team to win playoff games and super bowls

I agree. The only one you might be able to pin on him would be the 2011 Giants game, but it would still be ridiculous.

Their entire offense couldn't hold onto the ball like the Saints-49ers in 2011

That certainly was the one he looked most out of sorts, but the whole team played like a bag of dicks that day. Even if the offense played damn near perfect they still would have had to overcome 37 points allowed by the defense. To this day I refuse to watch any highlights or read any commentary on that game, most pissed off I've ever been after a football game

So that makes two of us. That hail mary at the end of the half pretty much convinced me it was going to be a shitty day. And I was sitting right about the goal line where he caught it.

Don't forget the 25 yard scamper by Bradshaw the play before to set that up. They literally were running out the clock and then he gained 25 yards and coughlin was like "well what the he'll were close enough to throw one up now". At least that's how I remember it, like I said I refuse to revisit it

I agree with 2 points....
A. Rodgers is the most complete qb ever
B. Without considering the longevity aspect, he is the GOAT. At his best, he is better than Peyton, Brady, Montana, etc

It's fun to watch when he's on. It almost seems like it's not fair. He goes from holding the ball to it being out in 1/3 of a second. And the throws that are on the money from 40 yards on the run seem like a simple flip of the wrist.

I will admit though that I get panicked when he holds the ball on broken plays sometimes. One bad blindside hit and it all comes crashing down.

I was listening to one podcast (I forget which) and the guy was saying that one of the more impressive things he notices when he watches Rodgers, is his ability to make pinpoint deep throws on his second and third reads. He'll be scanning the field after his first read is covered, see a guy running a deep cross, and hit him on the money like it's nothing. It takes him very little time to see the receiver and get the ball to him with velocity and accuracy.

Rodgers might have another full decade in him if he avoids serious injury.

We'll just need to groom the next hall of famer sometime in the early 2020's
