This is not only the first Cy Young award for Porcello, it's the first time he's ever received Cy Young votes in his eight-year career. The 27-year-old broke out in 2016 with a major-league-leading 22 wins and a 3.15 ERA (145 ERA+) in a career-high 223 innings.

Good year, but I would have definitely voted Kluber, Verlander and Sale over him.

One time I went to visit my girlfriend at work and he was sitting at a table she was serving. I was jelly on the inside

That's my Rick Porcello story.

I mean Kate Upton's OT rating free fall notwithstanding, always nice to see a woman go to bat for you AND talk about fricking you in the same sentence.

He should have finished 4th.

Not as bad as Mo Vaughn winning MVP that year, though.
