Well Sherman and the Mrs. shouldn't have been having afternoon delights the first week of May last year….

Do yall really think this is a decision that has to be made? I feel like they could have the child early or delay the birth until after. I'm not a doctor and don't have any kids, but I would think that would be possible.

Super Bowl without a doubt. It's just way more important and it was known when his SO got pregnant that this was potentially an issue.

I also believe that the idea of being there when your kids are born is the most overblown idea. Who the hell cares? Yes, if you can be there then dammit, be there 100% of the time. There are TONS of things more important, a Super Bowl being one.

wow...

I honestly think it's one of THE dumbest blanket ideas/thoughts out there. Y'all are acting like I'd skip my the birth of my kid for a damn movie.

I think this is insane. This is a bunch of people saying the child so they can sound like "hero fathers". Being a father is not about being at the birth. It is about raising the child, loving it with all your heart, and BEING THERE IN THE HARD TIMES. Obviously you are there for the birth under most circumstances, but this is not one

I would choose the game, unless he's actually delivering the kid. Then he should be with the baby mama.

What was your biggest worry? Were you concerned about the safety/health of your SO? Does it kill you to think about missing the birth? Has it ruined your relationship with your son? Do you love them less?

Super Bowl, but spare no expense in making arrangements to get there as fast as possible after the game.

Assuming the doctors are foreseeing a fine, safe delivery with no complications for the child and mother, you've got to go with the Super Bowl.

Remember who your employer is and how vital of a role you have for your team. The Seattle Seahawks did cut Sherman a 4 year $56 million extension recently. You have a duty and obligation to play in the Super Bowl for them in my opinion. If it were a regular season game, then you choose the birth. But the Super Bowl....that's a whole different story.

After completion of the game, you can immediately rush to the Hospital to be with your wife and child.

And I meant it. Me being there will be 100% about comforting my SO. If we determined that another event was more important than that I know I'd never regret not seeing my kid born. Te idea of that holds absolutely no significant weight or emotion in my heart or anything.
