Like I've said many times...the real warm up friendlies and preparations will begin within a week of the major leagues closing.

Squad announcements and friendlies will be in the 3-4 weeks prior to the start of the tournament on June 11.

I would say sometime in May.

I think this (a TD World Cup board) might be what puts soccer over the top in America.

I'll begin the preparations. AKA crack a beer.

I'm anticipating previews for each team, and maybe Chicken could hook us up with a prediction game?

I've got big plans. We may even do a Mike Grella player to watch that isn't Mike Grella thread.

I think you'll need to edit him into the international squad. I'm pretty sure this is possible, but I forget how, there's a special player editing section in Fifa '09, if 2010 is the same then look in that bit.

Thank you, so much, Chicken.
I know it's a bit arbitrary, but how about May 1, 2010 as an opening date for the World Cup Board? It would give us 2 weeks of the Premiership, and three or four of La Liga and Serie A?

Definitely. The seasons will all end earlier this year for the World Cup. Spain normally ends in early June, but they are going to cram the phuck out of matches to finish in mid-May.

This season's finishing dates:

ENGLAND - May 9th
SPAIN - May 16th
GERMANY - May 8th
ITALY - May 16th
FRANCE - May 15th

And many of these players won't get TOO much rest before qualifying for next year's Champions League and Europa League starts. FIFA has got to do something about fixture congestion for the sake of the game.

Already did it.

Go to edit player, change his country from Mexico to US, then save.

Then go to INternational selections and move him in for Bornstein or whoever.

He's a 72 as a LWB but drops to a 69 as purely LB. He's still better than Bornstein and they have Bocanegra as the default LB. I like to put him in there or sub him in at midfield.
