They're way too heavy. Don't buy one.

About 5 years ago when I was in high school I had a couple of teammates get nakonas. They were not very durable at all. The lacing broke on two of them within the season. Like others have said for that price range I would go Rawlings or A2000. You can get Mizuno a little cheaper and I always liked those as well.

Exactly the opposite of my experience, mine needed almost no breaking in.
This. It's because they're just a big soft piece of nice floppy leather. They're horrible.

How many guys in the professional baseball use them? I literally never saw a single one.

Agree with the people who said A2000 over any other glove if you're spending the money

Way too heavy IMO. Go Rawlings Heart of the Hide if you want to spend some money on a quality piece of leather.

I was selected to allstars every year and made it to the collegiate level using a glove from Walmart as a kid. If your kid is good it doesn't matter what name is on the glove.

I don't know this for fact, but IMO heart of hide feels like the heaviest of these gloves.

A2000 is just as good and will break in much more easily.

Had this for about 7 years before it broke. Loved it though.

Rawlings heart of the hide is another one to look at in the same class of glove.

Currently have the heart of the hide trapeze and like it more than my A2000.

Wilson A2000

or

Heart of the Hide

Sounds like unanimous on these.

9 years old? And you even thinking about a $250 glove? At worst, it gets abused and never cared for. A glove of that quality needs care. At 9 years old, he will out grow the glove before he ever knows the quality of it.

A 9 year old doesn't need more than a $50 glove.

Agreed, always felt the same way about them. I always used an A2000 and actually still use mine from high school for softball games 15 years later. As for the price, I seem to remember my A2000 costing a bit more than what posters in here are saying. I feel like the pricing was very comparable to Nokona

wow, if he's only 9 years old, I wouldn't even consider dropping big money on a glove like an A2000 or Nokona. I would just buy a generic glove from Dicks by one of the major brands and you'll be fine. He'll grow out of the glove in a few years and you'll be dropping the money all over again

I thought it was funny.

If it was someone super random it wouldn't have been. But it made me laugh coming from shel.

I apologize.

Wilson A2000 all the way.

Rawlings are nice too, but a bit heavier IMO.
