1. Warriors
2. Spurs
3. Rockets
4. OKC
5. Timberwolves (really the biggest wildcard right now because of capspace for Millsap, Reddick, Hardaway JR, etc..)
6. Blazers
7. Grizzlies
8. Jazz (really not sure where to put them, especially if they lose Hayward) or Pels

They finished 11-14 last season with those two all-pros.

They started 1-6, obviously terrible.

But they finished up 6-4 in games in which Cousins played.

Teague fits their offense and improves their spacing better than Rubio does.

Cousins > Butler based on what? Butler is a proven clutch player, and has tons of playoff experience and is a 3x All-Star.

Plus, they could easily add Millsap, Reddick, or both or others because of their cap flexibility.

Can't really put Minny or Nola on OKC's level right now.
Agreed.

If we're doing tiers, it would be something like:

Tier 1:

GS/SAS/HOU

Tier 2:

OKC

Tier 3:

LAC/DEN/UTAH/MEM/POR/NOP/POR

So, 7 teams batting for 4 spots.

OKC's problem right now is that they don't have any flexibility with cap space at all. And they have zero offensive firepower aside from GOATBrook and George.

Minnesota might be better than them right now even without getting Millsap.

Since CP3 and Harden haven't played together, and CC lost arguably their 2nd most important player in PBev, along w Lou, are they on a "prove it" year or you thinking top 5

HOU is a top 5 lock.

The talent is there for Houston. I'm just wondering how well they'll rebound after Chris yells at Harden and makes him cry on the court.

CP3 is mean as hell, and I'm not entirely sure that Harden isn't a mental midget.

The Pelicans have zero shooting. Its Davis and Cousins with Holiday and what else?

Its almost the same problem OKC has.

Minnesota is far more balanced and KAT and Wiggins have tremdendous potential to improve as defenders under Thibs.

They aren't on GS/SAS/CC's level, but they are better than NO and OKC right now IMO.

I cannot wait!!

The pecking order will be so clear the first time Harden slacks on defense. Paul will yell at him like a Dad yelling at a 10 year old.

That being said, I think Harden tries on defense harder this season than we've ever seen. One, for the CP3 effect. But secondly, he'll be relied to carry less of the burden on offense, so he has no excuse to need to rest up on the defensive side of the ball.
