I can only imagine the heat emanating from a black endzone on ANY kind of artificial surface. Sheer misery.

Eliminating the black was great. I was shocked Adidas did so well with the unis last year, they looked great.

Agreed

Vermillion and white without the black is such a classic look

Yeah I kinda like that idea, that Ragin cajuns logo is huge

For a brand that needs it's messaging to be on point, you want Ragin Cajuns greeting viewers on TV.

It is pathetic when a high school gets new turf, but the richest man in Louisiana, who doubles as the Saints' owner, will not get his football team new turf. Screw that greedy old bastard!

I saw USL beat A&M on a grass field in the 90's. The stadium looks exactly the same, except for the turf.

No, actually it is very different than it was then.

The south end zone is closed in and no longer grass. The north end zone is still grass as shown.

It hasn't changed much...ever.

End zone bleachers and the playing surface are small changes relative to the 46 years the stadium has existed

Nearing completion in 1971

I just wish the Saints could go back to black end zones. But I understand why they can't.

Something about being too much of a hassle to paint and repaint. Easier to just erase the "Saints" paint in the end zone I guess. Now that Tulane doesn't play in there it really shouldn't matter until bowl season.

Yeah that makes sense I guess. But besides the 2 bowl games and bayou classic do they need the turf for anything else (I know for the high school games, but belive they leave the Saints logos)

Yeah, the football stadium renovations is the last (and most expensive) part of phase 2 of the facilities master plan. Not sure when we will actually see it with the oil & gas market still in the shitter.

Missed the mark a little bit. The time to capitalize was when fans were energized, the team was consistently winning and the surrounding economy was doing well. It's a shame Maggard wasn't around at that time.

The master plan is there but we haven't heard a peep about that project in years. I've been impressed with Maggard so far. I hope he can get some movement on this one in the near future.

Spot on

All of this contributed to Farmer's ouster. Too little too late though. Farmers complacency killed momentum
