the initial save was equally good. in fact, Seguin poking it out of the crease was the only way the rebound would end where it did. the timing had to be perfect and it was

entertaining hockey though. both teams go the length of the rink in like 4 seconds

Stars give up another shorthanded goal...and Crawford looking unbeatable.

Not a good night for Dallas

Kris Letang doing Kris Letang things, 2 goals including the OT game winner after Crosby ties it late. Was pretty much just them 2 carrying the Pens tonight.

Letang (2-1—3) & Crosby (1-2—3) both tallied three points in the final 5:04 of regulation / #NHLOT to lead the @penguins to a comeback win.

Crosby with another goal, 7 straight games with a goal ties Patty Kane for longest goal streak this season. Pens leveling the Ducks 4-1.

This is the best Crosby has played since concussions.

ETA: Crosby scores his 2nd goal of the game, also has 2 assists, and just like that Sid The Kid is Top 5 in the NHL in scoring. tDecline.

Leafs traded Phaneuf to Senators.

Once you clear out all of the players who aren't gonna be playing in the NHL next year, it's essentially Phaneuf for a 2nd round pick. So, for the Leafs, the motive is simply, they cleared out $7 million with which to sign a free agent. I'm sure they have not noticed that Steven Stamkos is unsigned and will be a UFA. Total coincidence.

The Sens? I don't get it. They are 4 points out of a playoff spot, and the Isles have 3 games in hand. It's not an impossible road to hoe, but it is unlikely. Phaneuf gives them a guy they can deploy as the rock of the second pair behind Karlsson, but at $7mm AAV for the next five years. Does this put the Sens in the playoffs? I doubt it. So why help the Leafs get out of cap jail?
