He's more versatile than Shaq so he is better but he is not as dominant at his position.

Shaq has a touch at the line? Could hit the 15 footer? Overall skills wise Timmy is a better player but Shaq was more dominant

I like how I said that in first post I made and clowns down vote because they don't think about what was posted they think I said Tim better than Shaq

For the record Tim is not best Spurs 4 or 5, I think it's the Admiral and Artis. I think Gervin or Alvin Robertson is the best overall Spur in terms of skills.

This shouldn't even be an argument. Are you 10 and just don't remember Shaq before he was a Sun, Celtic, or Cav?

Defensive 3 seconds was installed largely due to Shaq. He was probably the most dominant player since Wilt.

Nope and still averaged more points while shooting a better percentage.
Just because you're more skilled doesn't mean you're better. The job is to put the ball in the hole. Doesnt matter how you do it.

It seems to me that the three players who deserve major consideration as the best ever are MJ, Kareem, and Bill Russell.

I think there is frankly some wiggle room when it comes to where you rank a lot of the rest. I'll go:

1. Jordan
2. Bill Russell
3. Kareem
4. Magic
5. Bird
6. Lebron
7. Wilt
8. Shaq
9. Duncan
10. Kobe
11. West
12. Hakeem
13. Dr J
14. Oscar

I'm probably undervaluing Oscar among others. This was off the top of my head.

1. Michael Jordan
2. Lebron James
3. Shaquille O'Neal: absolutely unstoppable at a
time when defense was a major emphasis
4. Magic Johnson
5. Larry Bird: 2nd most skilled bball player ever
6. Bill Russell
7. Wilt Chamberlain

8-15 no particular order:
Kobe Bryant
Oscar Robertson
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Hakeem Olajuwon
Tim Duncan
Pistol Pete: easily most skilled bball player ever
Jerry West
Julius Erving

on almost every list shaq is way to low. They literally had to change the rules of the game because he was so dominant. Had to make it fair and allow the double team on him at all times.

In his prime he was the most dominating of any player but jordan was the best player overall.

How can he be your greatest NBA center ever and he never once led the NBA in rebounds?

lol... this is not true. Defensive 3 seconds has been a rule in the NBA way before Shaq was even in the league.
