My dad could out run Lou Brock

They grew up on the same street for awhile, and would often play stick ball in the street.
He says the few times they raced, he beat him a couple times, but not everytime.

Today's Titans/Rams unis reminded me that the famous Dyson 1yrd short fml finish was for OT, not the win. Al Del Greco missed a point after.....in the Super Bowl-otherwise it would've been ftw.

...and the late Billy Mays was a walk on linebacker at WVU.

Deion Sanders is the only player to catch a TD from Brett Favre both in college and the pros -

both interceptions were returned for TDs.

Deion Sanders is the only player to score a touchdown on an INT return, fumble return, punt return, kick return, receiving TD and rushing TD in NFL history.

Since 1934, only one major league pitcher has won 30 or more games in a single season. That was Denny McLain, in 1968 with the Detroit Tigers, finishing at 31-6 with a 1.96 ERA. He won two Cy Young awards and was a three-time All Star.

Only five years later, he finished his career as a Shreveport Captain in the AA Texas League.

He was only 29 years old.

My dad took me watch him pitch and get an autograph.

He also hit a home run in his first major league game. It was his only one ever.

In the 1966 All Star game he retired all nine batters he faced with only 28 pitches!

Bill Russell would've been a stud at west Monroe high. Instead his family left to escape the racism.

If The University of Southern California were a country, we would rank 12th ever in Gold Medals at the Summer Olympics. 135 total.
