Seriously, go look at his 09 stats compared to ‘10, and even to 11 to an extent

The 09 JJ shows up his last couple years, we’re probably champs in 11, and maybe 10 too.

But alas...

Eric Bristow. The 5 time World Champion of Darts back in the 80's and into the 90's was one of the most dominant dart players ever at the time of his reign.

He developed a bad case of "dartitis", similar to the yips some golfers get and it affected his throw to such a degree he stepped away from competitive darts for several years.

He still played and was heavily involved in darts, but was never really a force to be reckoned with after that.

Mark "The Bird" Fridrich. Cy Young award, All-Star, Rookie of the Year and MVP in 1976. 19-9 with a 2.34 ERA.

10-10 combined over the next four seasons and out of baseball.

True. He was looking for his mojo at the bottom of bowls full of food and in buffet lines apparently.

He fell off the charts fast.

The NFL is chock full of such stories. Great college players drafted high by teams, only to show nothing at the pro level.

He had one highly inefficient but decent season, he didn’t ever really have it in the pros.

Feels like the broncos had a run of nobody backs turn into 1k+ rushers for a while there

Justin Vincent is a solid pick I thought he was going to huge after his freshman season,

Jimmy Graham

He did have the injury in 2014 or 2015. But it is still weird how meh he has been since leaving the saints. It is not like he has had a lack of qb in Seattle or Green Bay.

Most of those were never good in the pros.

Dontrelle Willis.

Dude was special his first few years with the Marlins. Then he lost the ability to miss bats.

Steve Sax almost lost it before it began.

A few years into his career he suddenly couldn't throw the ball from 2nd base to 1st base.

He was just a wreck. A total meltdown. Suddenly this major leaguer didn't know how to throw a baseball. One of the worst cases of the Yips and it lasted a long time.

But he got over it and his back end of his career was great.

Not sure if you're aware of this, but Bristow is now tossing darts with Jockey Wilson in the afterlife.

He passed away from a heart attack when he was doing a "Meet & Greet" at a Premier League event a couple years ago. He had just finished meeting with folks and was on his way out of the venue when he suffered a heart attack and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Golf again.

Chris DiMarco. Watched the 2005 Masters yesterday. He fell off a cliff in a year or 3 after that.
