using a divot tool and using your ball marker from your glove is for guys that buy pinnacle balls and have the ball suction on their putter.

The Scotty Cameron divot tool is not that great IMO

Yeah, I was just using it as an example.

95% of the time I'm playing a course after 10am with a variety of bermuda greens during the summertime. Rarely do I have much of a ball mark to begin with, and it can be fixed with a tee.

Bentgrass...shite is terrible.

Amen.

While we're at it, nothing is worse than someone who can't chew gum and walk at the same time dragging their fricking feet across a green.

I play in a lot of scrambles for work... guys that don't know ANYTHING about golf go out there to get a day off from work and they trample the greens...

The other day we had 3 balls OB and one in a fairway bunker about 140 yds out... 3 of us take 8 irons and 9 irons... one guy pulls his sand wedge because we were in the sand... they just don't have a clue... ROFL

Pitch Mark is the "technically" correct terminology.

And you should definitely fix your pitch marks. But not by lifting from underneath.

if you actually pay attention most pros fix their own divots. like on every hole. guys who miss the green will usually fix one after playing on too
