I know this is risky but I honestly think there’s more value here than taking Lawrence. You get an uncoverable freak in Pitts, an elite pass-blocking tackle, a dynamic WR and a solid QB who threw to both receivers in college.

I may be biased from the one time I saw Lawrence in person, but I’ve watched most of his games and don’t think he’s the can’t-miss P. Manning/Luck/Burrow guarantee. He’ll probably be great but IMO the drop off from him to Trask is slight enough to justify getting Pitts.

Imagine an empty set with Chark, Pitts, Shenault, Toney, and Jones

That’s like a madden draft for a dude that loves UF football

When is the last time 3 players from the same college were drafted to the same professional team?

I don’t think drafting the UF roster is the clear play for Meyer.

I hate Florida but it makes sense. Trask with those two plus Chark and Shenault should be lethal.

It didn't work for Spurrier with the Redskins, but it would be hilarious to see Meyer try it again.

And trading 1 and 45 for 5 and 38 would get you immediately fired as a GM. The Bengals would laugh their asses off at you making that trade as they wouldn't really lose anything.

5 and 38 for 1 and 45? Are they serious? 5 and 38 isn’t enough for 1 on its own.

The sim rejected that offer

The thing won’t even let me trade to the Pats for their first two picks

Because Cincinnati doesn't need to move up to 1. Try it with Atlanta, and I bet you could trade 1 for 4, 35, 68, 2022 1st, and 2023 1st.

I'd laugh my arse off at every one of my friends who bought Lawrence a wedding gift. So I kinda hope this happens.

Nope ATL is very stingy too. The thing’s fun to play with but the trades and grades are very wonky.

My main point is to get some value for #1 while still making sure you get Pitts and Trask.

If that's the case, trade with NYJ.

I can 100% guarantee you'd get
#2
#23
#34
and 2 future 1st/2nds

Why would the Bengals move #1? They would take QBs at #1 in back to back drafts?

They wouldn’t; the sim is quirky. I’m finding it’s better to force trades you know are reasonable.

You think Burrow is a guarantee?
