Lou Williams said it was false. Fake news.

Silly guarding Kawhi, but not silly doing everything else balls to the wall pre-ASB?
He's averaging a career-low in minutes per game.

You’ve all mentioned that many times
He’s playing an average of like 20 seconds a game less this year than he was last year
He’s 19th in the league in MPG.
Just because it’s a career low doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. I’m pretty sure the formula isn’t “1 minute played per year alive”

Well why is there this perception that he's going balls to the wall when he's not doing anything he hasn't always done?

Because he’s 35 years old and has played more minutes in his career than nearly any other player ever?

I mean it’s not the end all be all, but if it were my favorite team, I’d prefer my 35 year old best player to not be playing 35 minutes a night on Tuesdays in fricking January

He's also physically different than anyone that's every played the game, and has taken better care of his body than probably any NBA player ever.
There's hasn't been a major drop off in his productivity. It's not really appropriate to judge him by lesser player's standards.

We've already moved on a narrative. First it was "lebron is old and declining so the lakers are going to have a rough year" to "lebron is playing too many minutes and wont maintain his play" and when he inevitably sits in February it will switch to "hes old and can't keep it up through a whole season, Lakers are screwed in the playoffs"

If you take the worst takes from the worst posters and blend them all together, then yeah, I guess it’s pretty easy to tout this victim complex that you’ve been wearing like a badge of honor this season.
You and reauxl are relentless with that shite.
I’m saying that maybe a 35 year old player shouldn’t be too 20 in the league in minutes when you’re in it for the ultimate goal - how exactly is that controversial? It was one of your own that even brought up how silly it would be to waste Lebron’s energy on a regular season game in the first place.

LBJ 40 for 40. Playing 40 mpg at 40 years old.

This is all very possible as we saw it happen last year. His hgh doc is doing good work tho

I mean, he's a top five player if not higher. You don't want to sit your big weapons, even if they are 35.
Also, if the Lakers build enough of a lead, they can load manage him heavily into the playoffs. For me, it makes more sense trying to sit him the 4 games before the playoffs than 4 games midseason.
Also, he had more summer rest than he's had in well over a decade. 35 mpg isn't some crazy number for a guy who's played over 40 mpg four times.
