So, LeBron would be disrespecting Kobe by playing in the Olympics, somehow?

that's because, as pointed out, it's just a cop out. He's too big a puss to just say he doesn't want to play.

Or maybe the writer just made an unsupported inference based on Lebron saying he's disappointed Kobe won't be on the team. I saw no evidence in that article that LeBron was considering forgoing because of Kobe, yet everybody runs with it as if it's fact.

At this point, couldn't the USA just send Golden State to the Olympics? They're killing the rest of the NBA.

Golden State would probably dominate more than whatever team we will send.

Of course, Bogut, Barbosa, and Ezeli aren't American.

Well, they'll be sending Curry/Klay/Dray most likely.

I would love to see a bench unit of Curry/Klay/Kawhi/Dray/Aldridge. (Start Westbrook/Harden/Durant/Davis/Demarcus, strictly chemistry lineups).

Assuming all are healthy.

Westbrook
Curry
Kawhi
Durant
Lebron

That would be my starting five.

We are bringing our new secret weapon, Steph Curry. We don't need LeBron.

Curry / CP3 / Westbrook / Kyrie
Harden / Klay / Jimmy Butler / Demar
Durant / Kawhi / Melo / P George
A Davis / Draymond Green / Lamarcus / Blake
Boogie / Drummond / Dwight / Deandre Jordan

Yeah.... they don't need LBJ or Kobe to easily win a gold.

1 this is dumb

2 I honestly think USA starting 5 should not have Lebron on it. I'm really not an anti Lebron guy either.

3 who cares. frick Lebron. even tho that's how it's been most of his life, this is Lebron gets whatever he wants. Kobe taking someone else's spot on the Olympic team would be a joke.

Another brilliant power play. Maybe he could shoehorn James Jones on the roster or help Tristan Thompson gain US citizenship.

We don't really use a traditional NBA line up. Durant and LBJ have both spent a lot of time at the 5 under coach K.

Also, absolutely no reason to bring Boogie Cousins in, IMO.

I am aware, just listing the best Americans at each position in the NBA to illustrate how Lebron and Kobe are not needed in the least to crush the rest of the world.

Sounds more like a selfish, bitter move to me.

what a crock of shite

LeBreezy is looking for a smokescreen so he can quit Team USA w/o any blow back.

Anyone with half a brain knows Kobe flat out does not deserve to be on Team USA anymore.

saw this article. thought of the MSB. and knew, just knew I would break my previous downvote record with a negative article about LBJ and in regards to Kobe.

success.
