I never thought he was going to play on this Olympic team anyway. I've always thought guys like CP3, Lebron, possibly Melo would skip this time around. They've all done multiple Olympic teams/World Championship Teams, and in the case of some of those guys, have played deep into the playoffs a lot.

They have to think about preserving themselves for the tail ends of careers.

Pass the baton on to new players. Team USA will be fine.
