Nope.

And fanatics won't stop acting like child rape is no big deal, either.

What kind of ridiculous argument are you trying to make? You shouldn't be honoring the crook of a man because it's not right. Nothing else matters.

Nice try, I had already pointed out the bad PR that will come from this. But hey, you can't just waste a clever insult.

...bad PR.

That's what you get out of this?

Ya know what's bad PR? A massive story about your coach ignoring child rape, and you fricking wackos being upset about vacated wins when there were victims all over the fricking place.

Don't waste your time, the delusion is strong with this one. It's PSU vs. the world of hateful fanatics who will hate PSU no matter what. So they might as well honor evil people!

I don't think the school or the fans should necessarily bow to the opinions of ESPN blowhards or people on message boards when it comes to Paterno

It's like going to the zoo and seeing an animal up close that you've only seen in books or on TV.

It's not really real until you see just how big the elephant is or how powerful that Tiger is in real life.

It's like that with Penn State defenders, I knew they existed, but this makes it all really real to me seeing someone defend that school and acting like a victim.

Hahahahahaha! There's a major fricking difference in acknowledgement and praise. You think today's Germany is erecting statues of Hitler and praising his good deeds??? Did they commemorate him on the 50th anniversary of his rise to power?

You're a fricking clown and your university is made up of sick, twisted sheep who don't give a frick about, what, 40 kids that were raped over the years inside your program walls?

See? This isn't so bad when compared to that. Silver linings.

I'm not making a direct comparison to Nazi Germany, but the German people are just now acknowledging that Hitler was a part of their history. The whole world hated Germany for decades, anyway, so what did avoiding the topic accomplish?

this may be the single most idiotic line of reasoning i have ever seen

There'a pretty big difference between acknowledgement and putting someone on a pedestal.

I will stop hating PSU if they stop honoring a man that turned his back on children getting raped inside his own football showers. PSU fans want the Paterno statue put back up. That should tell you how twisted they are in their cult worship of this man. It is all very sick in my mind and I would never go to a PSU game and wish they weren't in my team's conference.

I went to the Notre Dame-Texas game. Talking with tailgaters and fans in my row, dozens found out I am a Penn Stater. Not one person had anything negative to say, though I'm not a physically intimidating person. Did I luck into meeting the nicest fans in the world, or they are just a better class of people? The only people that ever give me shite, personally, are Buckeye fans at work, and I still love those jackasses.

I have a few friends that are Penn Staters. They're rational good people. If they were of the tin-foil wearing, success with honor, FAX and EVIDENTS crowd and worst of all those idiots on BWI that think Sandusky did nothing wrong I'd disassociate with them in a heartbeat.

Dude, I agree with you but it's not worth arguing on this board, their minds are made up.

I've met Joe Pa countless times (a lot my family were athletes at PSU) and I always had a good impression of him.

Well gosh that settles it.

The truth has come out about the piece of shite that was Joe Paterno, that's why most of us sane people have made up our minds.

Seriously? You do realize its been proven he wasn't a good person right? So he didn't allow Sandusky to rape you so he is good in your book?
