Was an awesome game! That Oregon team was pretty meh outside of Mariota offensively. I'm fairly certain Ifo didn't play in that game too but I'm not 100% sure.

It was such a great game. Really wish we had Carrington for the Natty. It would have helped us so much.

Fashion before hardware. They sucker younger kids to strive for their program solely because of Nike and their 'loud' colors.

Maybe 5+ Consecutive ten win seasons is a major selling point? If it wasn't for a second half collapse due to injuries, it's still be going. Only Clemson and Alabama have longer current season winning streaks.

This isn't 2011 anymore.

Ifo was out. Blew his knee during Rose Bowl practices.

Not having Carrington for the title game was a huge loss. Guy will be a great talent in the NFL.

I just never be able to like Oregon as long as they stay Nike U. It's just feels sleazy and dirty how Nike pumps the athletic program full of money. I'm glad they don't win more than they do because it's a pretty uneven playing field with how over the top this is getting and the fact that they get the best equipment from the best sporting goods manufacturer in the world.

Kinda like how there's nothing illegal about Durant going to the Warriors, but now I'm not going to want you to win.

All that $ and nothing to show for it on the field

Besides arguably handing FSU their most embarrassing loss in program history?

Oregon hasn't embarrassed themselves in big games really, this isn't some mid-major...so it's not like it's all for show...for some reason people remember Auburn rolling Oregon....which is insane, Auburn barely won on a disputed run.

They are over the top but it's not like they haven't been one one of the top 5 programs the last 5 years. Rose Bowl wins.

They have a lot of money, but that's college football. There are no rules to spending money.

Eat or be eaten. Everybody is doing it if they can.

When I saw the thread title, I said to myself "Uncle Phil is out of control." Then, I just when I saw the throne. He's rich trash.

Exactly its all glitter, no practical substance. I guess you have to be innovative when you have the Nike money but you dont have the tradition of a great program.

No....no it wouldn't have. Oregon won the turnover battle 4-0 (not counting the last play of game) and lost by 20

No national titles, but they do have nap pods. Can see why that would be appealing to many.

they've won pac 12 championships and some BCS games and have played in a couple of Championshop games.
It's the "cool" thing to hate Oregon, but they have been extremely successful in the past decade.

All of that is nice and all...but how does a throne room improve player performance? How does any of that improve player performance?

Some flash is nice, but maybe I'm not up with today's players. I'm pretty sure you can get sweet shoes and comfy chairs at most major D1 schools.

Obviously some great facilities. But it seems obvious that the Duck's days in the sun have passed & they are no longer an elite team. And, yes, where are the NC trophies?
