It happens a lot when that certain poster gives us some actual insight.

Well logically if you're so mad about giving up a homerun and want to take it out on someone it makes sense to just hit the next guy up since the bases are empty.

I'd say that, logically, you shouldn't be in professional team sports if a frick up on your part makes you so mad that you subsequently intentionally put your team in a worse position than need be.

Don't let anyone run across your mound. You must have to retire right after that happens.

People act like baseball is the only sport with unwritten rules. Unwritten rules are a part of every sport as well as all aspects of life.

At least in baseball they let them settle it on the field unlike football where they have to throw a flag every time somebody celebrates a little too much or wags a finger in front of somebody's face.

My thoughts exactly. Especially after reading the article...

If you're a pitcher and you give up a home run, you should have to watch the other guy celebrate. Quit being a bitch about it. I'd do a cartwheel somewhere along my path to home plate just to see these pitchers lose their mind.

I thought it was funny when the guy said they have been playing baseball longer than the other sports. "We've been playing baseball since the 1800s." We've been playing every semi-popular sport since the 1800s.

Sorry. I didn't check to see who they were quoting.

Ok, it was Branding McCarthy. The article says he plays for Arizona.

If I was the next batter up after my teammate just "embarrassed" the pitcher, I'd tell the pitcher, catcher, umpire & opposing manager that if that focker beans me with a 90 mph fastball....I'm throwing a 20 mph bat right at that pitchers head. I'll take the 5 game suspension.

The beaning in baseball is the most chicken shite unwritten rule in baseball IMO.

I love a bunch of high school jv players telling MLB players how the game should be played.

The MLB players should quit acting like high school jv players.

Cool? Doesn't make the quote any less ridiculous.
